Background and Education
Ms. Pashkova is herself an immigrant from Siberia, Russia. She possesses genuine passion to help clients facing immigration related legal matters. Before moving to the United States to attend law school at Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology, on a partial scholarship, Ms. Pashkova studied Philology (the Study of Languages), and was an English professor. During law school she participated in immigration law internship. Her proficiency in English and excellent analytical skills allowed her to successfully complete law school in the U.S. in the top 6% of her class in May 2005, and to pass the Illinois bar 2005. Ms. Pashkova was admitted to practice in Illinois in November 2005, and is a member of the Order of the Coif. After law school she continued to focus her practice by working on matters including family and employment visas, green card matters, appeals matters before the Board of Immigration Appeals & 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, and deportation defense cases.
Ms. Pashkova’s unique personal circumstances give her not only a hands on practical perspective of the issues facing clients with immigration matters, but also that personal appreciation for the importance of proper and efficient handling of the client’s case.Ms. Pashkova’s peers recognize her for being instrumental in a number of notable case successes in which she contributed while working with other firms, as well as her demonstrated routine excellence in handlings some very difficult cases.
Ms. Pashkova joined Panagopoulos Embry, P.C. in 2014 to establish the firm’s immigration division. The focus of the firm’s immigration division is to assist foreign individuals as well as U.S. businesses to meet their personal immigration needs in this complex and constantly evolving area of U.S. law. Just as the other divisions of the firm, the immigration division benefits from a concerted approach that integrates professional collaboration amongst a core of attorneys and experts as well as the latest technology and research.
