Background & Experience
When you need an attorney, you want someone who has foresight to plan ahead, the ability to think strategically, and the strength to fight. As a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard and former tank commander, Gordon K. Sattro has all of these skills. In the Army he developed the ability to lead men to success in battle, and now he helps lead his clients to victory on a daily basis.
As a former actor and account executive for a Fortune 500 company, Mr. Sattro honed the ability to impress people with his words and actions. By applying what he learned on the stage and in the boardroom, he is able to argue his client’s point of view in a way many attorneys cannot, and hold the attention of the room when it is needed most. This ability, coupled with a strong command presence honed in the fires of battle, courtrooms, and boardrooms, Mr. Sattro has developed a reputation of excellence in the legal community and in the greater Southern California region.
Mr. Sattro joined Panagopoulos Embry in 2015, following several years of maintaining his own successful entertainment law and business practice in Los Angeles.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sattro developed his skills in business and entertainment law by working with one of the top attorneys in the industry, where he worked with actors, producers, writers and studios to get the right talent the right job with the best terms possible. Mr. Sattro later transitioned this skillset to the Employment Research Institute where he served alongside the in-house legal team as the Director of Corporate Development and Strategy. While working for ERI, he helped to manage and litigate employment matters, maintain corporate compliance, draft and negotiate various agreements and contracts, serve a key role in developing several subsidiaries, and negotiate the strategic acquisition of several competitors.
Mr. Sattro attended California State University of Fullerton where he was on the University’s NCAA Division I wrestling team, and later became the President of the school’s Model United Nations organization. With the Model United Nations, Mr. Sattro refined his skill as a negotiator, and achieved success and recognition at Harvard University and at the United Nations in New York. Following his graduation from CSUF with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, he pursued his passion for law and policy at Southwestern Law School in the heart of Los Angeles. Mr. Sattro was awarded several scholarships throughout law school, and served as Chapter Justice of Phi Alpha Delta.
Beyond helping his clients in achieving their business or personal goals, Mr. Sattro is heavily involved in the greater San Diego and Los Angeles communities and provides pro bono legal services to veterans when they need it most.
